The Christian Record Services family is saddened by the passing of Richard Klinedinst, a longtime ministry representative whose faithful service touched countless lives.
For over 30 years, Richard served as a Christian Record Services representative in eastern Pennsylvania, sharing hope, encouragement, and accessible resources with individuals who were blind or low vision. During his years of ministry, he made approximately 12,000 visits, building relationships and helping connect people with the services and spiritual support offered through Christian Record Services.
Richard was also known for his remarkable dedication to the mission of CRS. He became the first person in Adventist history to raise $2 million in support of the ministry's work for people who are blind, a milestone that reflected both his passion and perseverance.
Yet those who knew him best remember his humility and faith. Reflecting on his accomplishments, Richard once said, "Everything that I've accomplished, especially in the area of fundraising, has been a miracle every day, and that's only through prayer and surrender to God's will."
In recognizing his service, CRS leaders described Richard as one of the ministry's most successful and dedicated representatives. His legacy lives on through the many people he encouraged, the friendships he formed, and the lives he helped connect to God's love.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Klinedinst family and give thanks for a life marked by faithfulness, humility, and service. We look forward to the day when, through the promise of Christ's return, we will meet again.
Honoring Richard's Legacy
Those who wish to honor Richard's memory may make a memorial gift to Christian Record Services. For decades, Richard devoted his life to ensuring that people who are blind or have low vision could receive encouragement, accessible resources, and the assurance that they are valued and loved by God.
In keeping with the work he cared about so deeply, memorial gifts will support the ongoing ministry of Christian Record Services. In addition, all gifts received through December 31 will be matched dollar-for-dollar through a special matching gift opportunity, helping extend the impact of every contribution.
Richard believed that God could use ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things. A memorial gift in his honor is a meaningful way to continue the mission he faithfully served for so many years.
