Christian Record Services Appoints Charles W. Reel as Vice President for Finance

Christian Record Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles W. Reel as Vice President for Finance, effective July 1.

Reel brings decades of senior‑level financial leadership within Seventh-day Adventist organizations, including extensive experience overseeing complex nonprofit operations, treasury functions, strategic budgeting, and organizational administration. He currently serves as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for the Oklahoma Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

Throughout his career, Reel has provided financial and administrative leadership for multiple denominational entities, including It Is Written, the Guam‑Micronesia Mission of Seventh-day Adventists, the Dakota Conference, and the Lake Union’s Home Health Education Services. His work has included stewardship of multimillion‑dollar budgets, oversight of operational and facilities projects, and close collaboration with boards, committees, and ministry leaders to advance mission‑driven objectives.

“Charles brings a rare combination of deep denominational experience, strong operational leadership, and a clear commitment to faithful stewardship,” said Dexter Thomas, President of Christian Record Services. “As Christian Record continues to grow and respond to emerging needs within the blind and low‑vision community, we are confident that his leadership will help ensure both financial integrity and long‑term sustainability in support of our mission.”

As Vice President for Finance, Reel will oversee Christian Record Services’ treasury operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, investments, audits, and risk management. He will work closely with the president, finance team, and board of directors to support sound financial governance and strategic planning.

Reel holds a Master of Business Administration from Loma Linda University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Walla Walla University.

Christian Record Services serves individuals who are blind or have low vision by providing programs and resources that foster independence, connection, and hope. Reel’s appointment reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to experienced leadership and responsible stewardship as it expands its impact nationwide.
